God is so good! Our Savior, Jesus, chose to die for our sin and permit the flogging for our healing. He freely and willingly purchased our freedom with his life. Isaiah 53 says,

“He took up our pain and bore our suffering… he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.”

Psalm 103 reminds us,

“Forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Wow! What a promise! Thank you, Father for your love and your free gift of healing through your Son, Jesus Christ. Give us the faith to embrace your perfect gift of healing.
